Vascular insufficiencies Raynaud’s disease:
constriction of blood vessels happens in response to cold leading to severe pain and numbness in the extremities of hand and feet.
Interventional therapy:
Depending on the area of involvement a relief of pain can be attained with USG guided intervention to the affected nerve ganglion to dilate the blood vessels and thus decreasing the pain. Stellate ganglion blocks and lumbar sympathetic blocks are useful. Due to resistant nature repeated interventions might be required.RFA( radiofrequency ablation) is also an option given in resistant pains.
